Johnny Cage Confirmed as A Playable Character In Mortal Kombat X

Johnny Cage will be joining his daughter, Cassie Cage, in Mortal Kombat X, according to NetherRealm Studios' senior producer Adam Urbano.

In a video interview with Game Crate at GDC that has since been pulled from YouTube, but can be found archived on user TDizz 98's channel, Urbano confirms that Johnny Cage is indeed playable in the upcoming fighter. He also appears to confirm Kenshi, who was rumored to be in the game after Warner Bros. released screenshots of the blind fighter in a mobile version of Mortal Kombat X.

"You'll get to play as Johnny Cage, but we're also showing Cassie Cage, who is the daughter of Sonya and Johnny," Urbano said. "You'll get a chance to see Kenshi and a chance to see a couple more."

Later in the interview, Urbano is asked about the game's recently revealed brutalities. In response to which brutality is his favorite, Urbano said, "Actually Johnny's. It's quick and it's brutal."

Unfortunately, he appears to shoot down the idea of animalities and babalities.

Johnny Cage brings the list of confirmed Mortal Kombat X fighters up to 19 (or 20 if Kenshi is confirmed), with more characters likely to be revealed before the game's release in April.
