X-Files Will Return

The X-Files was one of the most popular and longest running sci-fi television series of all time and today Fox has announced plans to revive the series for six episodes 13 years after season nine concluded. X-Files’ creator Chris Carter is set to oversee the production of the series which will begin this summer and both David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson are set to return as FBI Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully.

While this is the first time in 13 years that new TV episodes are being produced, a second feature film The X-Files: I Want To Believe was released in 2008 and a comic book series called “season 10” rebooted the series for modern times in 2013. An X-Files video game was released on the PlayStation 2 in 2004 titled Resist or Serve which featured three new stories set during the show’s seventh season. We took a look at X-Files: Resist or Serve in an episode of Replay.
