Halo 5 Multiplayer Beta Menu Revealed

Over the weekend, a Reddit user by the name of "TheLittleMoa" uploaded an image of what was claimed to be the menu screen for the Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer beta. This image is indeed genuine, a Microsoft representative confirmed with GameSpot on Monday.

"Launching the Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta is a massive undertaking, and we enlisted a small group of Microsoft staff for testing and debugging of the beta to help us prepare our services and servers for the official launch on Dec. 29," a Microsoft representative said about the leaked image.

TheLittleMoa explains that they captured the image from an Xbox One Game DVR clip.

The Halo 5 menu screen says players can "Experience a new generation of Halo multiplayer." There are options to launch the multiplayer beta, access the Halo Channel and Spartan Hub, or read the Message of the Day.

The upcoming Halo 5 multiplayer beta begins two weeks from today on December 29 and runs for three weeks through January 18. The beta will let players try out Halo 5's many new player abilities across seven maps and three modes. It will also let players test the new Halo 5 Spectator mode.

Everyone who bought Halo: The Master Chief Collection for Xbox One is guaranteed access to the Halo 5 beta, though it's unclear if there will be other ways to get in. For more on the Halo 5 beta, check out GameSpot's hands-on impressions in the video above.
